Kubernetes Database Operator is useful for building scalable database servers as a database cluster. But migrating existing databases to Kubernetes requires a lot of manual work because you have to create new artifacts.

In this session we will introduce a new open-sourced tool named Konveyor Tackle-DiVA-DOA (Data-intensive Validity Analyzer - Database Operator Adaptation). It automatically generates deployment-ready artifacts for database operator migration via data-centric code analysis. By the end of this meetup, you'll know how databases can be migrated easily.

When people hear the word "conflict" they often feel anxious or hesitant to lean in and avoid critical conversations and opportunities for feedback. Meanwhile, some people are willing to lean into those moments and neglect to consider others' needs causing harm in the process.

What if those two views on conflict weren't the only ones? What would work and life be like if conflict was identified before it escalated, addressed following established agreements, and leveraged for the benefit of all?

This session is designed to give a deeper understanding of how conflict occurs, why it occurs, and how best to navigate it.

Learning Outcomes:

Understand the types of conflict, how they show up, and how they escalate
Identify some techniques for defending against harm.
Establish ways to address conflict.
Determine the best course of action when other people are in conflict

Kubernetes (K8s) and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) misses the capabilities to allow containerized application (in POD) to use cryptographic functions provided by IBM Crypto Express cards on IBM Z & LinuxONE.
The presentation describes a new extension to Kubernetes and RHOCP that allows a container running in a POD to access a domain of a Crypto Express adapter. The presentation describes how to set up the cluster infrastructure, how to configure which crypto resource belongs to which workload, and how software inside the container can access the crypto resource. The enablement requires a new component on the compute nodes which is called the Kubernetes device plug-in for IBM Crypto Express cards which is now available as a certified container image in the Red Hat catalogue.
