Presentation:

Title:   Report Setup form

Presenter:   Jim Watkins, Jr.

Description:

This month we are going to examine a Report Setup form. I like to provide my users with many options for producing their reports.

They may desire different report layouts and content but most reports have common criteria requirements; such as Date Ranges, Customer (or Primary Entity) or Category selection. I provide a single Report Setup form where they select the report and then the criteria. When they click the print button, VBA code is used to create a WHERE clause that is passed to the report. This methodology allows me to leverage the selection criteria parameters for all reports.

If you have any topics that you would like to see presented at our HUG meetings, please share with Arlene and we will see about using them at a future meeting.
