In the first Dr. Streaming session we showed how you can use TIBCO Cloud Data Streams or Spotfire Data Streams or the Connectivity WIzard to connect to any number of message buses and visualize your live data - IF that data was in JSON format.

What if your data is not in JSON format? In this installment of Dr. Streaming we will examine the topic of payload parsing. Data on a bus in some format other than JSON is one example. We can still use the available tools to build an application and then modify the generated application to perform payload parsing to be able to visualize streaming data. Join us to learn how.

What Are Dr. Streaming Office Hours?
Dr. Streaming is an interactive presentation for helping new and advanced practitioners get the most out of TIBCO Cloud™ Data Streams, TIBCO Spotfire Data Streams, and TIBCO Streaming software. It's hosted by streaming data experts. The program consists of:

1. Office Hours: Monthly 30-minute live webinars to help everyone navigate data science best practices and technologies.
- Info Gain: A tidbit of useful information based on the most popular questions submitted to the TIBCO Community for Streaming Analytics.
- Feature Sessions: The main presentation, featuring extended topics and unique challenges in advanced analytics and real time data.

How to get your questions answered?
1. Tweet your question with the hashtag, #DrStreaming or ask directly to @DrStreaming.
2. Post your question to TIBCO Community "Answers" section with the hashtag, #DrStreaming.

Speakers:
Lorinda Visnick, Streaming Expert, TIBCO Software Inc.

Please register at the the below link to reserve your spot today (must be registered to attend): https://www.tibco.com/events/tibco-labs-quarterly-webinar-analytics-meets-no-code

The success of today's digital transformation strategies must include business optimization. How do critical processes perform? What are the most frequently used process paths? Which are the most efficient? Are resources optimized? Where are the bottlenecks? What sort of fraud and compliance violations are occurring?

Process mining is a data-driven approach that answers these questions objectively, delivering powerful, actionable insights to process stakeholders via rich visual analytics.

Combined with a no-code method, insights into processes are turned into automated actions used to resolve underlying issues and improve inefficiency. Building (configuring) application logic is simple, turning everyone into a developer.

Join Nicolas Marzin, head of TIBCO's Office of the CTO EMEA, to learn how Project Discover helps business users discover, document, and improve operational processes by combining analytics and no-code for a #better-together experience.

Speakers
Nicolas Marzin, Director, Office of the CTO, EMEA, TIBCO Software Inc.

Monday, August 2, 2021 at 12:00:00 PM Online event

We will be meeting remotely this month, so make something delicious for lunch and participate from home! Networking will be from 11:30-12:00 and the session will start promptly at 12:00.

Troubleshooting Performance Issues in SharePoint Online Sites

Since its introduction, the growth in popularity and compelling value of Office 365 have resulted in many organizations adopting SharePoint Online rather than building an on-premises implementation. Building SharePoint Online sites shouldn't be approached with the same mindset as on-premises site construction, though. In this session, we'll explore some of the key differences between SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises that impact performance and affect site design. We'll examine why developing for the cloud is different, identify common performance issues/concerns, and demonstrate some good (and not-so-good) site construction approaches.

We'll also look at some hands-on troubleshooting techniques that are available for diagnosing common SharePoint Online performance issues, as well as some solutions that can be applied. At the conclusion of this session, participants will have a greater understanding of SharePoint Online, how to build snappy sites in SharePoint Online, and how to conduct basic performance troubleshooting in the cloud.

Presented by: Sean McDonough

Sean is a consultant for Bitstream Foundry, a Cincinnati-based provider of SharePoint solutions, services, and consulting. Microsoft certified MCP, MCTS, and MCPD, Sean has over two decades of experience developing software, building infrastructures, and solving technical problems. Unable to take anything except the deep dive into any role, Sean has acquired a diverse and expansive skill set as consultant, product manager, solution architect, team lead, administrator, and platform evangelist through the years. Some might label his passion for all things tech related as borderline 'obsession', but it is equal only to his desire to share those discoveries and experiences with others as author, blogger, and frequent speaker/instructor at technical conferences, user groups, and similar events all over North America. Sean is also an Microsoft MVP for Office Apps & Services.

About KC M365 User Group:

This user group is designed for KC professionals who work with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint to network and learn from each other. Meetings are on the second Monday of each month over lunch. Join us for a free lunch and stick around to learn more about SharePoint and Microsoft 365!

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD ONLINE WITH DISCORD: https://discord.gg/wmFHB7y

Open to anyone in the area who is interested in developing video games. In order to have a little structure, we'll try to do a couple things each week:

Introduce new members. What have you worked on, game related or not? What do you want to work on next?

Discuss this week's conversation starter. Some article, video or game that we can dig into a little.

Members can present any games they're working on, for feedback or just to brag.

Of course, it's all very informal. The main goal is interesting conversation(s) about our passion.

Looking forward to it!

Individual teams will have access to video breakouts via Zoom. You can use Slack for breakout rooms if you like.

We are also exploring possible projects we could take on to help address this public health emergency. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions or are interested in working on immediate public health-related projects.

Thanks,
Aaron, Paul, and the rest of the Core Team

Bootcamps can help launch new careers. Learn how to navigate program challenges from a Thinkful alum and impress employers after graduating.

About this event

Breaking into a career in software engineering is all about showing you've got the skills to make an impact from day one. The new normal? Career-focused bootcamps that are built around advancing or helping you break into high-paying industries faster than ever before. They provide an accessible way to more opportunities, more growth, and higher salaries.

Bootcamp courses come with their own challenges, but plenty of students have come before you, and they're ready to share valuable insights on excelling in our programs and hitting the ground running upon graduation.

Join us as we talk to a Thinkful graduate and explore the ways he made the most of his bootcamp experience and launched a successful career. We will dive into his Thinkful journey, the successful habits he created to stand out from the crowd, and how he ultimately got hired at his dream job.

About the Speaker:

Peter Correa has now worked as a Software Engineer for two different companies, but developing web applications and frameworks wasn't always on his career trajectory. In his early years, he worked as a Technical Specialist for Apple, which is where the seeds of interest in technology may have been planted. After that experience, he followed the traditional education path, earning a Bachelor in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Florida International University and going on to work as a Senior Manager at Target.
However, after 5 years in that role, he decided that it was time for a career change which led him to Thinkful's Software Engineering program. Today Peter works as a Software Engineer for PayPal where he is working to unify all existing services to GraphQL, ultimately creating a new shopping experience that will bring value to consumers by making it easier for them to shop for products on the app.

How to join us: Once you register with Eventbrite, you will receive an email with the links to the live webinar from BigMarker. If you do not receive your link, please email [email protected].
