Dear,
Please join ISSA-KC Chapter members and other security professionals at Hereford House, Leawood.

This Month's Topic:
The attack lifecycle.  Staying one step ahead of Adversaries

Description:  As adversaries continue to improve their scanning and exploitation efforts through known and previously unknown attack surface vulnerabilities (e.g, zero days), it is incumbent on every organization to adopt a stratagem combining continuous monitoring of the attack surfaces of their entire 3rd party ecosystem with an aggressive plan to intelligently inform and work with the 3rd parties in the identification and remediation of the most impactful, highly targeted attack vectors.  As companies continue to outsource their products, processes and programs to vendors and suppliers - and thus spread their operational risk - their reputational and financial exposure is increasing every day.   We will look at the current cyber environment and discuss the necessary platform elements to stay one step ahead.

Speaker Bio:
Pete Savin, Director of Risk Products at BlueVoyant,  has 15 years experience in the design, configuration and implementation of risk management systems such as IBM OpenPages Third Party Risk Management.   Developing an in-depth knowledge of TPRM industry best practices, he offers deep insights in the combined enterprise benefits that traditional vendor risk assessment practices along with continuous cyber risk monitoring offer.  Prior to BlueVoyant and IBM, Pete served in the US Navy as a submarine officer.
