Madelaine Googol will review a bit about variables, vectors, and data frames and then introduce a broad range of graphical display methods in R: scatter plots, line plots, legends, histograms, barplots, multifigure plotting, boxplots, colors, and heatmaps. If there is time, Steve Simon will discuss how to add trend lines, splines, and smoothing curves to a scatterplot.
