Help Organize the Kansas City WordPress Community!

Hey WordPress Lovers! We're looking for a handful of WordPress fanatics to join the team as regular WordPress KC organizers. All WordPress lovers welcome - no mater your current WordPress skill level. Newbies welcome!

*** We are in meeting room number 2 - by the computer lab ***

ORGANIZER REQUIREMENTS
• Meet with organizers each first Saturday of the month at 10am,
• Complete tasks you sign up to complete
• Be an ambassador for the WordPress KC community
• Commit to being an organizer of the community through WordCamp KC 2020 (likely April, May or June)

As we head into the 2nd half of 2019, we will ask organizers to TAKE ON ROLES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS
• wpkansascity.org website remodel and management
• Website content creator, guest blogger outreach
• Meetup group management - make sure Meetups are complete an in order, address member questions
• New member lead - welcoming new group members
• Social media - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, content curation
• Sponsorship & giveaway outreach and management - venue sponsors, food & beverage sponsors, in-kind sponsorships, giveaway items
• "Building with WordPress" series speaker wrangler
• "Marketing with WordPress" series speaker wrangler

BENEFITS OF BEING AN ORGANIZER
• Increased self-worth - knowing you're regularly giving back to a non-profit organization (we operate under the WordPress Foundation umbrella)
• Your bio on the WordPress KC website, with links to your websites and social media profiles
• List your own business as a WordPress KC sponsor on the website, social media and in newsletters

ARE YOU INTERESTED?

• The first half of the meeting, we will discuss what it means to be an organizer, then if you decide it's not a good fit for you, you're welcome to leave. If you DO want to become an organizer, the second half of the meeting will be all about organizing the group.
