David Cardwell - Optiv
David Cardwell is a Client Solutions Advisor with Optiv Security and specializes in aligning information security solutions to an organizations’ current and future goals.

Cardwell has fifteen years of experience in information security ranging from client technical support, professional services consulting, and security architecture design. Combining his consulting background and participation in several subject matter expert groups, Cardwell has a depth of experience across multiple environments and solutions deployed for all verticals. Cardwell’s no BS approach and commitment to doing the right thing, manifests as unbiased opinions and a desire to solve problems with you.

Prior to joining Optiv in 2005, David worked as a network engineer for a school district in Missouri. Here he focused on installing, configuring, and supporting the network infrastructure as well as administering endpoint security tools. Cardwell earned an Associates of Applied Science in Computer Networking from Linn State Technical College, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Central Missouri State University.

He has held numerous industry certifications including CISSP, CCNP, CCDA, and regularly presents for various groups such as RSA SecureWorld, OzSec, ISC2, and ISSA.
