Save the date for the October Kubernetes and Cloud Native Kansas City MeetUp as we team up OWASP KC for a security themed fright fest.

Food and drinks provided!

Our first talk will be from Matt Moyer to discuss and demonstrate patterns for operating web application firewalls (WAF) in your Kubernetes cluster using open source OWASP projects.

In this talk you learn:

• How and when to use a WAF
• Limitations of common WAF implementations
• Techniques for maximizing the practical value you get from your WAF

Attendees with experience using WAF will learn how Kubernetes can help lower the operational costs and maximize the security benefits of existing security tools. All the tools used in the talk are free and open source.
