    • There is an open position for Chapter Secretary.  Due to the business of life, Cheryl Bester is stepping down and we have an immediate need to appoint a replacement.  Please talk to Cheryl or any other chapter leader if interested.

    • Volunteers needed to assist with the 2019 elections.

  • Format:  Round table, interactive discussion with security professionals from many different industries, tech companies and organizations, from upper management to operators who have many diverse experiences.  We invite knowledgeable and expert members and guests to facilitate and keep the discussion moving along and on-task.

Chapter Meeting DETAILS:
Topic:  It has been awhile since we talked about next-gen firewalls (NGFW) and the cloud has blown up the traditional concept of network boundaries.
Facilitator:  Stacy is a 20 year IT veteran with a broad array of experience across collaboration, networking, and security disciplines. Stacy is currently employed as a Sales Engineer for Palo Alto Networks where he is responsible for the design and architecture of a prevention based security solution that protects the digital life.  Stacy currently holds several industry certifications, Palo Alto PCNSE, and several Cisco certifications in collaboration, security and R&S. In practice, Stacy has extensive security experience working as a customer, partner and the product manufacturer.
Come prepared with your experiences, questions, and your security concerns that you wish to bring before a host of like-minded security professionals.

  1. Take exit 79 off of I-435 & Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park, KS.
  2. Go south on Metcalf Ave.to College BLVD.
  3. Turn east (left) onto College BLVD.to Lamar Ave.
  4. Turn south (right) onto Lamar Ave.Black & Veatch will be a block down on the left (east).
  5. Find the front entrance to the south, right across from the Sprint Campus (off of 115th St.).
  6. Locate the front entrance-it looks like an atrium-it is glass with a grass roof.
