Want to get started on building Flutter apps?

Join GDG Kansas City for a Flutter Study Jam! Together we'll work through the Flutter Udacity course prepared by Google instructors. You will be able to get hands-on experience with Flutter and build a Flutter app while learning the fundamentals.

The Study Jam will span four weeks with several events in between. You don't have to attend everything, but you do have to attend one of the first four events as well as the meetup on 8/21 to be eligible for prizes.
7/24 (this one) - Introduction and Lesson 1 in person
7/31 - Hangouts on Air for questions and supporting content
8/7 - Lesson 2 in person
8/14 - Hangouts on Air for questions and supporting content
8/21 - Summary, Final Projects, and closing

------------------------------------------------

This event will start the first lesson and answer any questions along the way. It'll work similar to a codelab, except both the course and facilitator will provide the content.

Agenda:
6:00 pm - Doors open, food provided, and and networking
6:30 pm - Welcome
6:35 pm - Lightning Talks
> Attendees can talk about what they're working on or something cool they learned
6:45 pm - Flutter Introduction
7:00 pm - Start Lesson 1
9:00 pm - Event ends

------------------------------------------------

*I've never made a mobile app before. Will I be able understand what's going on?*
Zero prior mobile development experience is required. Programming experience is helpful but the course will start from square one.

*What should I bring?*
If you can, bring a laptop to follow along in the course and work as we go. Udacity runs on all the latest versions of modern browsers. For the best experience, your laptop should have Flutter installed prior to starting to save time. To install the Flutter tools, visit https://flutter.io/get-started/install/
