Monday, February 19, 2018 at 6:00:00 PM Think Big Partners 1712 Main Street, Kansas City, MO

Once a month, on 3rd Mondays, our Hack Nights now also feature a "Learn Night" educational component. We regularly encounter community members who have info that is relevant to the Brigade--ongoing projects, vexing problems, or tutorials for new skill development.

This Learn Night:
Eric Roche, Chief Data Officer in the KCMO City Manager's office. Eric will describe information available through Open Data KC & Parcel Viewer and share what data is used to manage city operations.

Our Learn Nights will be on the mezzanine level of Plexpod Crossroads, so project teams can hack away uninterrupted, but we hope you'll find some topics of interest. These talks are not specifically directed at a technical audience, so they're a great way for non-coders to get involved with Code for KC.

Presentations and Q&A will run from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Hack Night starts at 6, so you'll have some time to mingle with the Brigade and grab some snacks.

Already an expert?
Participate in Hack Night. On the lower level, we're still running our weekly Hack Night, where people interested in helping can joining us to work on our various civic hacking projects to create a better Kansas City. Bring projects, ideas, designs, laptops, data, or friends.

Location: Plexpod (formerly Think Big CoWorking). Enter on the West side of the building (alley access near the Before I Die… art wall https://goo.gl/maps/hsBMJdcdEh72)

Meeting Format:
6:00 - Social / Networking
6:15 - Kickoff and Introductions
6:25 - New Member Orientation and Hacking
6:30 - Learn Night presentation
