  • What are we talking about?
It’s been described as Hadoop’s “Killer App” - Business Intelligence on Hadoop - why has this been such a challenge to even the most mature Hadoop shops? As the Hadoop ecosystem matures and develops, more and more utilities and promises are being made. The war among SQL-on-Hadoop engines is conducted on the BI front. The problem? Not all SQL-on-Hadoop engines were created equal, and they all have short comings that their competitors have not resolved. AtScale has introduced a technology that brokers between BI and Hadoop by publishing out virtual OLAP cubes and accelerating the existing SQL-on-Hadoop engines. Finally an approach to truly migrate old and create new BI on Hadoop applications. The Killer App!
