Lance will be discussing Business Intelligence strategies by leveraging Office 2013, SQL Server 2012, SSAS and Tabular.  In this presentation he will cover multiple paths to design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions.  We will cover the four pronged approach of Office 2013 and then contrast and compare that to the traditional Data warehouse design methods.  Lastly, we will deploy those solutions to both SSAS and Tabular in which we will cover pros and cons of each.
About Lance:   
Lance is an independent Business Intelligence Architect / Senior SQL Server DBA at Opportune Tech with 15+ years of professional experience building solutions on the Microsoft platform, specifically related to Microsoft SQL Server and Business Intelligence Systems.  His professional experience covers a wide range of industries from marketing, transportation, non-profit, telecom and technology.  He enjoys working with all things SQL, whether its performance tuning, designing an Enterprise Data Warehouse, or anything in between.  His end goal is always to maximize business efficiencies and to leverage the data to discover opportunities that will positively impact the value of the company.
