Hey SecKC crew!

Ready to turn Kansas City into your playground? This Tuesday, November 11, 2025, we’re running an in-person CTF/Scavenger Hunt that kicks off at Oak & Steel and then moves to multiple nearby spots. Think…mystery…free drinks…

Starting Location: Oak & Steel, 120 W 17 St, Kansas City, MO 64108
When: Tuesday, Nov 11, 2025
Timing: Kicking things off around 5:30pm, but come anytime before 7:30pm to participate in our challenges!
Parking: No excuse to avoid downtown this time! Oak & Steel is at the bottom of a parking garage and we’ll provide validation.

How it works

• Form a team up to 5, or play individually.

• Follow clues and tackle challenges at each stop.

• Points for speed, accuracy, and optional side-quests.

• Students invited/our official stops don’t have age requirements.

• Look for volunteers in the t-shirts with colorful SecKC logos.

What to bring

• Smartphone (required) — scanning QR codes and submitting answers on our CTF platform.

• Laptop/Flipper/Meshtastic (optional but recommended) — we’ll have a limited supply on hand to share for challenges, but if ya got em, bring em!

• Power bank, comfy shoes, and weather-appropriate layers.

Accessibility & safety

• All stops are within well-lit walking distance of the start.

• Please be respectful of venues and the public—no tampering with property, no blocking entrances.
