Tracking Your Productivity Using Outlook Categories and Power BI

Despite keeping a full calendar, it might feel sometimes like you just aren't accomplishing what you had hoped. Do you really know how your time is divided up, though? Through a combination of utilizing the Outlook Categories feature and the free Power BI Desktop tool, I'm going to show you how you can track exactly how much time you are spending on what tasks through versatile visualization options.

Lindsay is a technology consultant who is committed to keeping our business productive by embracing technology as a tool to problem-solve. Having worked in education for most of her career, she understands that technology can be a challenge for many users, and she knows how to be a change agent, encouraging the reluctant to give it a try and the inexperienced to dive on in.

Lindsay spent the last decade teaching English Language Arts and was selected to receive training to become a technology and pre-engineering teacher based on her aptitude for learning and adapting new technologies with her own students and colleagues.

She holds a BS in Secondary English Education from the University of Kansas and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction from Emporia State University. In addition, Lindsay is certified in Microsoft 365 Teams Administration, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, and is a Level 1 Google Educator.

In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her large cats, Buffy and Archie, and marathoning a wide variety of television shows.
