In this virtual meetup we will explore the topic of algorithms from the ground up. First we will define an algorithm, then we will explore several algorithms used to accomplish the same task: sort an unordered array of integers. We will examine how efficient each algorithm is first by experimentation, then by exploring the topic of computational complexity. We will walk through practical examples that illustrate how to find the computational complexity of an algorithm. Then we discuss the importance of choosing the correct data structure for a given problem, again by example.
