"Hey I'm Noah - I am a former electrical engineer that pivoted into software; while I took some university courses, I consider myself self-taught. I started with Python Django, moved to Angular, and settled on .NET after working at Integrity Inspired Solutions, where I have been for a year now.

My first meetup/user group talk was an Intro for Python Django, which I gave about ~1.5 years ago; back then, I was using the framework for all of my side projects and saw an opportunity to share knowledge. After a year in the field, I have picked the topic because 1) I wish I had known about it sooner and 2) I have seen benefits taking a more functional approach in C# with LINQ statements. I'm far from an expert, but I hope this talk will give you an intro to functional programming, share the value I get from it, and give you a place to start if you want to dive into it."
