    With the IoT, Medicine, health and wellness will be radically transform in the next 10 years – just like phones/telecommunication and computing in the last 20 years – or just like medicine 100-150 years ago with the discovery of the germ theory and antibiotics and getting rid of bloodletting. This talk will review the current state of Smartphones, Wearables, IOT and medical A.I. and what could be possible in the next 5 to 10 years.
    “Envision a future where everyone has access to affordable, personalized healthcare through sophisticated sensing technologies that put you in charge of your own health. Where sensors and devices recognize and measure your personal health information, provide insights and recommendations relevant to you and communicate that information to your physician.” The IoT and Wearables can drive down cost of diagnosis to make actionable health information affordable and available for the masses. If you are interested in the future of the health care field or just want to live a healthier life, this talk is for you.
    The speaker is Doug Hohulin who graduated at Purdue University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He works at Nokia as a strategy and business development manager helping to develop next generation (5G) cellular technology that is planned to be available in the 2020s. He has worked at Motorola as a cellular telecommunication engineer deploying cellular telephone systems around the world for the past 25 years. He has a passion to leverage smart phones, IoT and wearables to help improve the health of society, his friends, his family and himself.
