The September Agile KC meeting will be held at Centriq Training on 9/26/13.

Please visit www.agilekc.org for a map to the location and to register for the event.

Meeting Topic:

Agile Metrics - using empirical evidence to achieve greater alignment, greater transparency, improved code quality, and continuous improvement in the agile enterprise.

Meeting Learning:

Attendees will learn about the benefits of measuring capacity, flow, and value as work moves through the solution development lifecycle. We will discuss the challenges to becoming a more metrics-driven organization.

Meeting Description:

Metrics in an Agile environment are often used to make the subjective objective.  Done well they can help teams and the organization at large improve how organize around their work.  Done poorly they can cause confusion, lowed quality and disengagement from the team.  Metrics are more than just a group of practices that are followed.

In this month’s Agile KC meeting Craig Rudman will discuss metrics in general and how they should and should not be used.  The session should appeal to anyone interested in agile and lean principles and who would like to see the workplace become a more humane environment; an environment that values the creative contributions of all people engaged in the enterprise.

.About the Speaker:

Craig Rudman is Vice President of Services at The Emphasys Group with 20 years in software development, IT consulting, and agile coaching. He is a skilled Java programmer, a Certified ScrumMaster, and a Certified Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Denver.
