Overview: SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn is a set of established features in SQL Server and Windows integrated together to provide a flexible solution for high availability.  This discussion will be centered around the practicalities of building and managing an AlwaysOn configuration in a high-traffic SQL Server installation.  Requirements and concerns will be covered in depth, and there will be lots of time for questions and answers.

1.  Our Architecture and Requirements
High availability  
Future expansion to multi-site without rebuilding everything
Very high transaction volume
Replication Support
2.  Our AlwaysOn implementation
Availability group with asynchronous mirroring and replication fallthrough
Two identical servers with internal storage
Backups on main server
Windows Server 2012 for cross-subnet clustering
3.  How we deployed AlwaysOn
Waited for a hardware refresh cycle and did parallel testing
4.  Concerns and Gotchas
Trace flag for replication
            Network speed between mirrors and primary
