Some time in the first few months of the year 2012, the Kansas City metro will be hosting a User Group Leadership Summit.

Contact Lee Brandt, the leader of the .Net user Group if you are interested in participating (http://kcdnug.com/contact/). Here is more info from Lee:

I am attempting to put together a User Group Leadership Summit here in Kansas City. I think it is really sad that we silo ourselves by language and technology. I understand the need for special interest groups and groups focused on specific technologies (after all I run the Kansas City .Net Special Interest Group). What is sad is that we don't seem to cross those boundaries. Michael Gelphman has done a great job of bridging that gap somewhat, but I want us to be able to cross-pollinate ideas and events. For instance, I had no idea that there was a Ruby conference in Kansas city until a couple of months ago. It got me to thinking if there were other groups having events that I may miss because I am not plugged into this communities and I thought this might be a great opportunity to get all the user group leaders together to talk about how we can share information.

If you are interested, please let me know and I will arrange a lunch (or drinks) for us at a geographically neutral location (like midtown, 39th-ish). Also, if you have any good ideas for a meeting place/time, please send that as well.
