Learn the basics of loom weaving, begin weaving your own scarf, and finish making your very own peg loom in this fun and informative 2-hour class! If you've ever wanted the ability to weave your own scarfs without complicated knitting patterns, or if you've ever been curious about making your own loom for weaving, this is the class for you.

We'll start by completing a mostly-finished expandable peg loom (yours to keep) and learning to use the miter saw and drill press. Then we'll learn how to use your new peg loom to create a scarf. Peg looms are useful enough for people of any age, and are simple enough for even a child to understand. The skills learned in this class will help you to create another loom in the future, and to weave more scarves, blankets, placemats, rugs, or anything else you can dream up!

The cost for the class is $60 and includes an expandable peg loom, 2 small skeins of yarn (enough for approximately 2 scarves), and 2 hours of instruction. A single peg loom is sufficient for making small items, but multiple looms can be linked together to create larger items such as blankets, rugs, or mats. Additional looms will be on sale for a discounted price of $30 each.

Open to BOTH HammerSpace members AND non-members, ages 12-112 years old.

FYI: We have had 8-year-old children take this class in the past, so if your child is younger than 12 years old, but you think they would still be interested in this class, then please feel free to sign them up (parent or guardian must be present during the class).
