  • Abstract:
Developing using the Java Programming Language is a powerful tool in the enterprise or web space for modern applications. Utilizing the Spring framework is not only arguably the best way to write Java software, but also the most efficient. That being said, all too often Spring developers forget the basic concepts of clean code and Object Oriented Programming because of how much utility Spring brings to the plate.
This talk will be a discussion of some best practices when developing applications using the Spring Framework for Java. While presented in an opinionated fashion, the hope for mutual discussion will help all of us develop better practices for code that can not only be easily read but also easy to maintain. We will look at good practices on code organization, property management, sql management for jdbc, autowiring, and separation of concerns.
