    We are going to be discussing Maker Faire preparations, discuss project layouts, finish up work on the Power Wheels Racing Vehicles and create our lists for the individual sections at Maker Faire. We will also be making plans on delivering and setting up our booths.


    Friday nights at 7:00 p.m. will be our weekly open house, meeting, and project night. We may start a bit early for members that want to know what we are planning for upcoming events, board meetings, etc. but we will try to get it out of the way before the night officially begins at 7:00 p.m.
    Keep an eye on MeetUp to see what events will be coming up. We may be having movie nights, build nights, PPPRS team sign ups and building, community out reach events, and more. Don't forget Maker Faire is coming up and we'll start planning for that fun event!

    Our Saturday meetings are free-formed. Attendees bring up topics that interest them or that they want feedback on. Attendees are welcome to participate or just kick back and soak in the discussions. There are also no dumb questions! If you're just starting out this is a great opportunity to ask questions.
    The meeting structure usually follows this format:
    * Introductions / meet and greet new members
    Open group discussion on any development topic, concern or question; discussing any new happenings that interest the group
    * Get help s
    etting up your development environment, looking at code, quick demos, etc. (time permitting)
    All levels welcome!
    Maybe you have been using using PHP for a week or even a decade--we all have things to learn and share. If you enjoy working with PHP, or want to learn more about it this meeting is for you.

      The location is again at the Cerner headquarters this month, not Riverport.  This facility is only about 3 miles West of Riverport off of 210.
      The exterior doors will be locked, but the room we're in (Cowboy) is on the first floor just to the right of the front door.  If someone is not waiting at the door to let you in, you should be able to easily flag someone down in the room to open it for you.  If you can't find the building or can't get in for some reason, please give me a call.  816-607-1337

      What is KCDC?

      The Kansas City Developer Conference is pleased to announce our 7th annual event. The event is on the 24th, 25th & 26th of June, 2015 and will be held at the Kansas City Convention Center in downtown Kansas City. This event draws a large audience of new and experienced Developers, Project and Technology Managers from Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakotas and Oklahoma.
      The conference is a two-day, multi-track event that covers all aspects of software development, design and project management. We have speakers from all over the world who are industry experts that deliver both break-out sessions as well as hands-on workshops to further our attendee’s knowledge and understanding of the topics.
      The day before the main conference (the 24th) is a "Precompiler" day. The precompilers are full and half-day, hands-on workshops on a specific subject. This day is additional cost from the main conference.

      How Much Does it Cost?

      The main conference (on Thursday and Friday, the 25th and 26th of June) costs $300 to attend. This includes all conference sessions, breakfast and lunch both days, parking (if needed) and any after-hours events.
      The "Precompiler" day (Wednesday the 24th of June) is an additional cost of $50 to attend. This includes: one, 8-hour session or two, 4-hour sessions, breakfast and lunch and parking (if needed).
