Welcome! This is an easy meetup to get involved with. There are no functional programming experience expectations or prerequisites of any kind, though some talks are more advanced than others. These events are generally well suited to help infuse functional programming ideas into an existing programming skill set.

The address is 4210 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Suite 400A.
C2FO offices are on the top floor of the same building in which Fairway, KS City Hall is located. This building is right behind Stroud's restaurant and LLKC attendees should be able to gain entry from any door.

  • "Using Creative Suite as a Single Application" with Russell Viers
Most creatives have an application they rely on the most, be it InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator. Used individually, we can do great things...but use all three as the Creative Suite, magic happens!
Not only can you work faster and smarter, but by tapping into each application's strength, coupled with the integration power of the Suite, you'll see new design potential come to life. Find out when...and when not!...to use the applications in Creative Suite for various projects and purposes. Learn how the new Adobe Touch Apps are starting to change the way we work remotely and in groups, as well.

Your in-person presenter for the evening: Russell Viers
    • Russell Viers is an international speaker who, since 1997, has presented in 22 countries for publishing events including the HOW Conference, InDesign Conference, IFRA, PepCon and many more including AdobeMAX, where he was honored as an AdobeMAX Master. In addition to speaking, he has helped many major publications and designers learn techniques to work faster and improve quality including Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies Home Journal, New York Times Regional Papers, Sabah, American Greetings, Crayola and many others. Having started with CompuGraphic typesetting machines in the early 80s, then PageMaker 1 in 1987, Viers has been actively involved with Digital Publishing since the early days. In addition to speaking live, he has done videos for Lynda.com, Peachpit Press and Total Training.
Normally, he's trotting the globe and in a foreign country. We managed to snag him for the night since he's actually going to be here in his Kansas City home. This is a can't-miss event: please bring friends and colleagues. It's going to be one of our best meetings ever!
