Topic:
Here's everything you need to know about managing a Sql Server. Nearly 8 years of experience compressed to 45 minutes! This talk will cover day to day operational tasks, common fire drill situations and how to approach them, and where to get training and assistance for SQL Server. Even if you are not a DBA this content should help you feel confident when you get a call in the middle of the night. It will also cover some common mistakes when building a Sql Server and how to work through them. This talk will mainly focus on Sql Server database administration versus developmental tasks or writing t-sql or queries.
