Steven Hawkins: Identity proofing and public registration
How do we know who is asking to sign up for an account? Is there another way to give us more assurance that the person at the keyboard is who they say they are? A look at some of the methods organizations are using to identity proof users today and what the future might hold. Steven is the VP, Security Technology Services at Clango. He advises clients on people, process, and technology decisions that help guide their identity and access management programs. Steven is also an adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Security Technologies program at the Technological Leadership Institute a part of the College of Science and Engineering with the University of Minnesota where he teaches the Introduction to Cybersecurity program.

Brandon Traffanstedt: The Privilege Connection: Cloud and DevOps Security

Accelerated cloud migration and DevOps adoption require IT leaders to implement more effective risk management strategies from the start in order to better protect against advanced threats. In this session, we'll explain how to reduce the attack surface by securing privileged organic and inorganic secrets that allow access into Cloud environments as well as ones used by DevOps automation and orchestration tools.

Brandon is the National Director of Systems Engineering for CyberArk, Brandon serves as a technical adviser and subject matter expert on traditional privileged account security as well as Cloud and DevOps secrets management. With over 10 years in the combined spaces of information security and systems engineering, Brandon has architected security solutions for large customers domestic and abroad. Brandon holds a number of industry certifications as well as a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Education from Florida State University.
