Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 10:00:00 AM The Kansas City Convention Center 301 West 13th Street, Kansas City,

The Kansas City Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Group Presents: Building Neural Networks with Keras presented by Tom Cook PhD. This session will be located in Room 2505 at The Big Data Summit KC. Find out how to buy tickets and attend by visiting Big Data Summit KC.

Join this informative and interactive workshop for an in-depth tutorial on building Neural Networks in Keras. This will be hands on workshop for individuals interested in learning how to build and deploy a Neural Network.

About Neural Networks:
A neural network is a series of algorithms that attempts to identify underlying relationships in a set of data by using a process that mimics the way the human brain operates. Neural networks have the ability to adapt to changing input so the network produces the best possible result without the need to redesign the output criteria.

About Keras:
Keras is a high-level neural networks API, written in Python and capable of running on top of TensorFlow, CNTK, or Theano. It was developed with a focus on enabling fast experimentation. Being able to go from idea to result with the least possible delay is key to doing good research.

About the Presenter:
Tom Cook, PhD is a Data Scientist at the Center for the Advancement of Data and Research in Economics (CADRE) at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City.

**Pre-reqs will be some familiarity with modeling, some exposure to classical statistics (especially GLMs), and some exposure to linear algebra. Install the latest version of Keras and Tensorflow 1.3, so attendees should have that installed
