This talk will describe how Jared Harpole and Prashanth Dannamaneni have created a system to leverage 20 billion location events into over 1 billion miles of routes traveled every day. They have utilized PySpark and OSRM to create a set of routes that are then able to be used to power various products at Pinsight Media. One product currently in development is delivering more rich, timely, and relevant statistics to the out of home advertising industry. A description of the overall architecture, approach, and data science related issues will be discussed.

Jared Harpole is a data scientist at Pinsight Media and has a PhD in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Kansas. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and participating in various other outdoor activities.
