Data and Analytics are becoming more important. For the latest installment of 1 Billion Bits' Software Frameworks & Approaches series, we reached out to folks that are using state-of-the-art tools to build interesting products for important markets.
Join us Wed., May 20, 2015, at Think Big Partners starting at 5:30pm, for two excellent talks from GE GLOBAL RESEARCH and MINDMIXER.
Both speakers were asked to speak about the following points:
1. How have things changed in the past few years?
2. What kind of capabilities are these new tools and approaches bringing online?
3. What are some specific applications that are using these approaches in the real world?
The first talk is from Riddhiman Das of MindMixer. The KC-based company is building a new data product, and Das will tell us about what has changed in the tooling and how they are bringing it to bear on new and interesting problems.
The second speaker is Ramann Kamalakannan a Data Analytics Strategist for the Software Innovation department at GE Global Research. Ramann is a hands-on data leader with 15 years of exclusive experience in setting up and evangelizing enterprise-level data practices in startup, mid-size and fortune 500 companies. He is also an MBA grad from UC Berkeley with a capability to focus on both business and technical aspects of enterprise data assets.
