Meeting TopicA Pairing Spectrum: Pairing - It’s not just for Developers

Meeting Learning
Pairing and co-ownership of work is a common agile practice.  Hallmark Cards will share its experiences with paring in many different roles in their organization.

Overview

Hallmark has been on their Agile journey now for almost two years.   Our first team; two developers, a tester, and a coach, learned from day one to pair as often as possible.  Whether writing stories, testing stories, configuring machines, creating documentation we have found that, like the saying goes, two heads are better than one.  Over several projects, the quality delivered has been unmatched.

The journey has not been without challenges.  Team members and management were skeptical about the use of pairing for development endeavors, never mind non-development activities.  Over time the benefits have become understood and desired and the practice of pairing continues to spread across teams.

Join us for a Pairing Panel discussion to explore our learnings and challenges.

Participants will include:
Mark Reichert – Agile Coach
Steve Toalson – Agile Coach
Evan Sauer – C#/.Net developer
Josh Adams – c#/.Net developer
Bill Froeschl – QA/QC
Janie Fickle – QA/QC

About the Speakers
Given the depth of the panel the Agile KC crew encourages you to attend the session and learn about the speakers first hand.

Hope to see you there!
