  • UPDATE - Due to the freak May snowstorm (I know, right!), crap road conditions, and poor visibility, we're rescheduling tonight's event to Thursday, 5/9. You should be able to have a good time without having to worry about safety...apologies for the late notice.
Sketches enable us to quickly depict and share ideas with each other, but are also considered disposable. Sketches represent an intermittent state leading to something better, more refined. As artifacts, they're fleeting renditions of the concept, a "point-in-time" idea dismissed into the - ideally recyclable - waste baskets of sketching sessions and desktop brainstorming. Whether using formal scenarios with clients, or generating ad-hoc ideas internally, sketching is part of our UX DNA, and reinforces a core value of “show, don’t tell.”
Please join us at our new Meetup time - 6:30 PM on the first Thursday of the month - and new Meetup location - Snow & Co. in scenic downtown KCMO - for a hands-on sketching workshop with France Rupert of EightShapes. Bring your favorite Sharpie and Moleskine journal (or use a Bic and some cocktail napkins) as you learn tips and tricks to embed sketching and sketchnoting into your workflow to quickly generate big ideas and facilitate stakeholder understanding.
EightShapes normally presents these skills through as a full-day class, so you're in for a big treat!
