Windows/Freeware New Horizons Learning Center on ground floor of Metcalf South Shopping Center at 6:30 pm February 15th. In December we talked about a number of products we could use to keep a computer clean of viruses and malware and approaches we could take when our machines were became so infected that just running a cleanup utility was not enough.

This month we will go into the steps to put together tools to battle a situation that may have become dire. We will physically build the tool chest that can be used when the normal approach just can not get the job done. Bring your USB stick and a couple of blank CDs. This will be good practice if you ever encounter a PC that becomes so corrupted it appears the only way out is to completely reformat the hard disk and just start over.

As usual, we will deal with any Windows questions. All we ask is if you can send the question before hand to so we can have the best response to your need.

In March we will talk about wireless routers and the door prize will be a Linksys E3000 dual band router. Bill Diamond SIG Leader
